Fearless Females Inc. (FFI): A Journey of Resilience and Bravery

Fearless Females Inc. (FFI) was born out of a profound need to serve, empower, and uplift. Founded in 2019 by two Somali and Kenyan refugee sisters, FFI stands as one of the very first organizations in Omaha, Nebraska, led by refugee women. Guided by the spirit of "Cabsi la'aan"—"without fear"—our mission is deeply rooted in bravery, compassion, and the relentless pursuit of hope.

In 2019, as the world faced the early tremors of the COVID-19 pandemic, FFI took its first bold steps. With the support of our community, we raised nearly $10,000 in donations—an extraordinary feat for a grassroots initiative. That same year, we launched our inaugural Ramadan Relief packages to Somalia and Kenya, delivering critical supplies to families in need. This moment marked the beginning of our unwavering commitment to service, and we have never looked back.

FFI’s story is one of resilience, shaped by the founders' lived experiences as refugees. We understand the hardships of displacement, the yearning for stability, and the dream of a brighter future. It is this intimate understanding that fuels our work today.

Over the years, FFI has expanded its reach, providing aid, education, and opportunities to thousands across Africa and the United States. From assisting communities during crises, like the devastating floods in Somalia in 2021, to fostering mental health support and economic empowerment programs, we have touched the lives of over 9800(as of April 2025) individuals and counting.

Our journey began with Ramadan Relief, and this program remains at the heart of our work, symbolizing our mission to bring hope and dignity to those who need it most. With every milestone, from our humble beginnings to becoming a global movement, we remain guided by the principles of bravery, compassion, and community.
