As Ramadan 2025 season cam to end we at Fearless Females Inc. reflect on a season filled with miracles, mercy, and barakah.
Our original fundraising goal was $10,000. We hoped to provide essential food and medical support to families in need across East and West Africa. While we didn’t reach that goal we raised $2,725-what happened next was nothing short of divine.
With that amount, and through your generous hearts, we were able to serve over 2,000 individuals, representing 300+ families in Somalia, Kenya, and Nigeria.
Yes-just under $3,000 supported thousands. That’s the power of barakah in giving.
Ramadan Relief in Action: Where Your Donations Went
This year, we focused on delivering food aid and essential medicines to the most vulnerable:
Single mothers raising children alone
Elderly individuals with no caretakers or support
Disabled individuals living in poverty
Orphaned children with no access to education, food, or healthcare
Across these regions, we distributed food staples-flour, sugar, rice, oil, powdered milk, and detergent-as well as life-saving medication including antimalarials, antibiotics, iron supplements, and praziquantel for schistosomiasis (a common but neglected parasitic disease in East Africa).
Country-by-Country Highlights
Kenya
Hundreds of individuals were reached—many elderly and single mothers residing in Kakuma, one of the largest refugee settlements in the country. Through our Essentials First distribution, we restored food security in dozens of homes, offering both nourishment and dignity to families who have long endured instability and limited resources.
Somalia
In flood-impacted regions and IDP camps, we delivered aid to families who have been displaced in their own homeland, forgotten by local systems and untouched by international aid. Some had not received medical care or proper meals in over a year.
Nigeria:
With your supportand in collaboration with LSG Foundation—we were able to reach over 130 single mothers in underserved communities with food packs and essential relief during the sacred month. These families, many of whom had no source of income or local aid, were reminded that they are not alone. Together, we brought smiles to homes that had been silent for too long.
More Than Just Numbers-Real People, Real Change
These were not just data points. Each food parcel, each dose of medicine, each visit to a family’s home-was an answered du’a.
Families broke fast with dignity.Mothers were able to nourish their children.Elderly men and women rested without hunger.Young orphans were reminded that they are not forgotten.
This is what true Ramadan impact looks like.
We Work Before, During, and After Ramadan
At Fearless Females Inc., our mission does not pause with Eid. Hunger, illness, and displacement continue year-round-and so do we.
That’s why our Essentials First Program is designed to offer sustainable, consistent support throughout the year.
Your donations allow us to respond in real-time to emergencies, drought, floods, disease outbreaks, and the daily struggles faced by widows, orphans, and the elderly.
Over the past six years of delivering aid, one thing has become increasingly clear to us: while the need for food, medicine, and shelter is urgent, there is also a quiet, persistent cry for education, guidance, and understanding-especially around family planning.
In many of the regions we serve, families often consist of 10 to 17 children under one roof. And while every child is indeed a blessing, we’ve seen the heavy burden it places on parents-especially mothers who are single, abandoned, or unsupported. We’ve met fathers doing their best, but overwhelmed by the sheer weight of what it takes to clothe, feed, and raise a large household in displacement or poverty.
Islam beautifully encourages us to grow our ummah. There’s a well-known hadith where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Marry those who are loving and fertile, for I will boast of your great numbers before the nations on the Day of Judgment.” This is true. But it’s also true that Islam teaches us about accountability, justice, and care for those under our responsibility.
We are not saying “have fewer children” to align with worldly narratives. Nor are we promoting the abandonment or devaluing of life. What we are saying is: it is a mercy to plan wisely. It is a mercy to ask ourselves-Can I raise this child with love, care, safety, education, and provision?
Family planning isn’t about limiting life-it’s about honoring it. And in many of the households we aided, where food is divided painfully thin, where mothers are falling ill from stress and malnourishment, and where children grow up without consistent support or education-it becomes clear that this conversation must be part of the work we do.
If we want to build a thriving ummah, we must not only bring life into the world-we must also be prepared to nurture it, protect it, and raise it with excellence.
